It’s time for The Mommy Confessions again. As moms we all have something that we want…no that we NEED to get off our chests so this is the time to do it. Write up your confession on your blog and post a link in the linky listed at Life Starring Ellie and Eve.
This is my first time writing an official Mommy Confession. Where should I start? One of the things I’m most ashamed about is the fact that my oldest daughter watches TV almost every day for at least an hour. Why do I let her sit there like a couch potato? Because she loves it but mostly because I need some free time. She’s long stopped napping so when her younger sister goes down for a nap I try to get her to play with toys or read books but she gets bored quickly. Letting her watch TV allows me some free time to work on the computer, read blogs or sleep. Which, in the end, results in a happier mom for the rest of the day. At least that’s what I tell myself.
How often do your kids watch TV? Any suggestions for other ways to occupy her quietly?
