I’m so excited that Princess is finally 3 years old because now she can start dance lessons. She loves dancing and I hope she’ll follow the instructor’s dance moves. She’s told me she doesn’t need lessons so we’ll have to see how it goes. I enrolled her in a Jazz dance class for preschoolers.

My Question
What activities have you signed up your kids for? If they’re too little what activities are you looking forward to participating in?

If you’ve looked at my blog, you’ll notice I have not been a good blogger lately. It’s not that I don’t have interesting things to say but all those interesting things take up too much time to blog about. I hope I have the time soon to blog about moving into our new house, what it’s like living in a bigger house, how our week long vacation in mexico was, the continuing job search and my daughter’s third birthday party. Until then I will be that blogger who only does quick weekly memes like Wordless Wednesday and Aloha Fridays.

My Question:
What’s the longest you’ve ever gone without updating your blog? What was the reason?

Mostly Wordless Wednesday

My daughter turned 3 when my husband and I were away for a week so my family was under strict instructions not to let Princess know it was her birthday. We celebrated her birthday this Sunday and she had a great time.

We rented a bouncy castle for the kids and they had a lot of fun

All that bouncing made her tired and thisty

My attempt at making her a castle cake. My first attempt at using the cake form resulted in a disaster so this was my 2nd attempt

Planning birthday parties is so much for fun now that Princess is old enough to have favorite themes and looks forward to all parties. It’s still to weird to think of her as three because that means she’ll be going to school in 2 years. I know everyone says it but I really can’t believe how fast the last three years have gone by.

Wordless Wednesday

This is my husband and I at his brother’s wedding in Mexico last week. I really must get around to blogging about what it was like not to be with our kids for a whole week. And I will as soon as I have a spare minute from watching the kids, working, cleaning, cooking and writing.

My Question
We’re moving to our new house tomorow . It’s only my 4th time moving ever and the 2nd time as a couple. How many times have you moved in your life?

Not Me! Monday

This post is part of the Not Me! Monday series! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

First of all, I am not writing this post while my daughter naps. I always take advantage of the free time during her naps to thoroughly clean the house. I have not been neglecting my blog over the past month just when I upgraded from a free blogger platform to a self-hosted wordpress domain.

I did not not exercise at all last week, even though I am trying to get in shape for an upcoming vacation. I am certainly not leaving my kids for an entire week while I sit on a beach in Mexico. If I were, I would not be looking forward to a relaxing week and most importantly the luxury of sleeping in every morning. I am not nervous about how the girls will react to not seeing me for an entire week. I am not secretly hoping that an entire week with my kids will show my parents ho much work it is to take care of them every day.

I am not super excited to move into our new house this week! I do not think that moving to a larger nicer home will change our lives. It is not my husband’s birthday this Friday. I did not let him buy his own gift on EBay because I always take the time to make him a handmade thoughtful gift. Besides I think moving into our new house on our birthday is a good enough present by itself.

It wasn’t me who did not realize that this Monday is actually a Not My Child! Monday because in addition to neglecting my own blog I have been letting my Google reader pile up with over 1000+ unread posts and did not see the announcements from MckMama.

It was not my child who sat beside me while I slept and thoughtfully applied hand cream to my shirt and hair. It was not my child who has started acting like a teenager and slamming doors while she gets sent to her room. She certainly wouldn’t yell out ‘Fine!’ every time either. It is not my child who is turning 3 soon. Her actually birthday is happening while we away so we will celebrate her “birthday” when we get back. She is not already excited for her birthday party.

My one year old is not fascinated by water and doesn’t like throwing things and putting her hands in the toilet. She has not learned how to stand up in her high chair and she certainly wouldn’t have started getting up in the middle of the night again. She does not yell ‘mama’ whenever she wants more of something. I’m not sure if she is actually trying to say ‘more’ or if she thinks that yelling ‘mom’ is equivalent to asking for more.

My Question
I’m on the computer a lot either on Twitter, Blogs, Facebook, E-mail and Job Sites. My husband on the other hand uses the computer for about 5 minutes a day. It’s probably a good thing because otherwise we would be fighting over the computer. Is your significant other on the computer more or less than you?
